Power And Love

I've been thinking about this verse lately.

For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7

I've realized that many times, the main thing that prevents me from sharing the Gospel with others is simply the fear of man.

This verse shows us how we have to walk as believers.

Jesus said “blessed are the meek”, but He never said “blessed are the timid”.

 A lot of us feel that our timidness disqualifies us from walking in our gifts and callings.

The truth is... a timid spirit is not from God.

A very clear function of the Holy Spirit in our lives is the way He emboldens us to preach.

So I want to encourage you with this...

If you are afraid to share the Gospel, you will be given boldness by the Holy Spirit in the moment when it is needed.

You have everything you need in Him.

Go in the strength He has given you!
