WAIT ON THE LORD
I’ve heard several people lately talking about how exhausted and burned out they are.
It has reminded me of the seasons of my life when I was often on the verge of burnout with work, ministry, and all the other things I was doing.
A friend encouraged me in that time and said "You will never burn out if you don’t leave the fire."
That statement is so true. When we abide in Christ and walk close with Him, we are never empty, we never run dry and we never burn out.
We need to wait on Him.
The Lord has been putting this verse on my heart lately. I wanted to share it with you:
Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weary.
Isaiah 40:31
Our refreshing comes in the abiding.
When you wait on the Lord, He will renew your strength.
